Pierre, SD- April 28, 2019- Yankton County was well represented at this year's South Dakota State 4H Shooting Sports Tournament in the capitol. The NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center, NEYAC, is also home to the Yankton Area Archers JOAD & 4H club which trains for events such as state 4H, pin shoots and other state and national events. This was the first year Yankton Area Archery club members competed at this event with over 1,000 participants from all over the state of South Dakota. Archers compete in a 30-arrow scoring round at 10, 15 or 20 yards depending on their age category to earn achievement ribbons and state rankings. This was the first year the Yankton Area JOAD & 4H Archery Club took a team to compete at this state event.
