What does it cost do to archery here?We have a variety of options for every archer. We offer structured classes as well as day passes. Day Passes give you access to the entire archery center for the hours that we are open; even if you were to step out and come back to shoot, your day pass would still be valid. Our day passes also include archery equipment and a safety introduction. Day passes are $10 per person, or $5 for archers that are members of the National Field Archery Association (NFAA). Annual memberships are a great way to enjoy the archery center at a great value. Memberships give you access to the entire archery center for a full calendar year; as well as equipment rental, access to our coaching staff, and a membership to the Yankton Area Archery Club, JOAD, and 4H. Memberships also include discounts to tournaments hosted by the Archery Center. If you are new to archery, we recommend coming to our TRY Archery beginners classes for all ages. This is a great place to learn archery fundamentals and safety rules for the range. TRY Archery is every Saturday from 11am-12:30pm; equipment and coaching are provided throughout the class time. We encourage you to sign up for our weekly archery classes which are After School Archery, Intermediate Archery, Advanced Archery, and Adult Archery classes. Prices vary from $60-$70 per two-month sessions. If you have a group of people, we recommend a group lesson for a birthday, or corporate party. We also offer Family and Friends Archery which occurs every Thursday night from 6pm-8pm. With Family and Friends Archery you receive equipment and coaching for your group for only $40.

How old do you have to be to start archery? You can start archery at any age! We have had students as young as 3 with proper equipment, instruction, and supervision. For our weekly classes, children can start at 8 years old. For one time classes like TRY Archery, children can be younger than 8 as long as there is an adult to supervise them the entirty of the visit. When a child has enough hand-eye coordination, and can handle equipment safely is when we deem they are able to handle instruction. Positive attitude towards learning is always encouraged in all of our programs.

My son/daughter is interested in starting archery, what do you recommend for them?"If they have never tried archery before, we recommend parents bring their child to our Saturday TRY Archery classes 11am-12:30pm. They will learn the fundamentals of archery and it will assist parents in seeing if their child is interested enough in archery to stick with the sport. The next step would be to enroll your child into an archery program where they will work on their skills weekly with a certified archery coach. After School Archery is for beginning youth archers learning fundamentals of form and safety reinforced with fun archery activities. Intermediate Archery is for archers that have taken our After School Archery class and would like to continue learning archery as a recreational sport for fun. Private coaching services are also available that are tailored to the individual archer's needs and to help them advance according to their goals.

Does the range ever close for tournaments or other non-archery events at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center? No. If we are hosting a tournament, other ranges will still be open for shooting. For other non-archery indoor facility rentals, we keep part of the range open strictly for archery use. The outdoor ranges are also still available for shooting. You can always refer to our website to check events on our calendar, or vist our Facebook page for updates on events.

If I buy a membership, are there any blackout dates?"We try our best to keep our ranges open to our members at all times during business hours. If you stop in to shoot as a range member and the range looks full because of an event or tournament, please ask one of the range staff to assist you! We have space available to allow our members to shoot. Remember, we have seven different archery ranges available. There may be times, particularly in the winter, when range space at our indoor range is limited. We also have certain dates when the Archery Center hosts large-scale archery tournaments which utilize several ranges, or the entire facility. (For example, a national or world championship). We will notify our members in this insatnce. You can see our Calendar of Events or check our Facebook page for updates on events, as well as our website to see when our busy times of the month/week are.
